P WAS HALLUCINATING WHEN I FIRST MET HER. SHE WOULD SMILE AND TELL ME THAT HER HUSBAND TOLD HER "I LOVE YOU HONEY." SHE TALKED ABOUT THE EXTREME INFORMATION BASED ON HER DELUSIONS.
P AND I WORKED VERY CLOSELY, SINCE BUILDING RAPPOR. P ENJOYED USING COLOR PENCILS AND DRAW RAINBOWS. I ENCOURAGED P TO EXPAND HER IMAGINATION, AND P WAS ABLE TO EXPRESS HER UNIQUE THOUGHTS IN HER DRAWING. ONE DAY, P WAS FRUSTRATED BECAUSE SHE FELT UNABLE TO DRAW THE FACE OF A "PEACEFUL PERSON." MYSELF FELT CLUELESS ABOUT THE IMAGE, AS WELL. I THOUGHT OF AN IDEA FOR OUR DILEMMA: COLLAGE! AT FIRST, I SUGGESTED THAT P SEARCHES A MAGAZINE FOR THE FACE SHE HAS IN MIND. P MARKED A COUPLE OF DIFFERENT PAGES, AND SPENT HER TIME ON STUDYING THE IMAGES. P THEN GENTLY PLACED ONE IMAGE ONTO HER DRAWING, AND SMILED. SHE DID NOT WANT TO PASTE THE IMAGE, TO RATHER ENJOY FOR A FEW MINUTES, AND KEPT HER DRAWING SEPARATE. SHE ASKED ME TO TAKE PHOTOS OF HER WORK BEFORE PUTTING THEM AWAY.
